Jemma Cole is the co-founder and director of Sydney’s inaugural SOFT CENTRE – a new art, sound and light festival happening at the remarkable Casula Powerhouse on September 23rd. Jemma (27) is also co-founder of one of sydney’s favourite underground techno parties [ insert ], the host and producer of Spin The Bottle on FBi Radio (formerly THUMP on FBi Click) as well as working fulltime as VICE Australia’s leading music partnership, marketing and events executive, recently taking out two BE Fest Awards: Best Use Experiential for her work on Samsung Sound + Vision at Sydney Opera House and Best Use of Music for Lynx Pitch Black at the Seymour Theatre.

Taking inspiration worldwide from festivals such as Unsound, Berlin Atonal, Mutek and Norbergfestival, Soft Centre pairs experimental electronic artists with sensory altering light works and immersive performance pieces. Rare cross-disciplinary collaborations and site specific works are brought together to create an unforgettable day of sound and visual abstraction.
