Director, Keep Sydney Open

 

Tyson Koh is the director of anti-lockout campaign Keep Sydney Open and producer of the ABC’s long-running music program Rage.

Since starting Keep Sydney Open in 2015, Tyson has been a leading voice on Sydney’s nightlife and the city’s cultural vibrancy. He has helped to make the issues facing Sydney’s nightlife a major talking point through a series of successful rallies and several mainstream media appearances. Tyson is now a key contributor to the State Government on the future of Sydney’s night-time economy.

Keep Sydney Open has since organised inner-city precinct activations in an effort to restore confidence and participation in night-time activities.

Tyson also presents the weekly show Loose Joints on Sydney’s FBi Radio, which he has hosted since 2008. Tyson has also DJed at events including the Big Day Out, Harvest, Parklife, the Biennale of Sydney and worked as a music programmer for major events like Sydney Festival, Darling Harbour’s NYE fireworks and the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
